We specialize in locating the hardest to reach potential cast members and talent– people who don’t have a telephone, Internet access, and sometimes not even a road to their cabin.
In Alaska and Canada’s Yukon Territory, finding talent is only one challenge; another is getting the locals to talk to you. Production companies and TV networks often speak to us about the frustration of overcoming their “outsider” status when casting for talent. Unfortunately, a stigma has developed that often discourages northerners from speaking to “those Hollywood people.”
That’s where Hawks & Co. comes in. As long time northerners, we can bridge the gap between those who shy away from strangers and the film or TV producers who seek out them out. Hawks & Company has worked with small to medium independent production companies, Discovery Channel, and National Geographic.
Hawks and Company’s services also include on-site in the field interviews with prospective talent. We create sizzle reels using high-definition digital video cameras. We edit our footage in Adobe Creative Suite Premiere Pro and Adobe Audition, then upload the files to Dropbox for you to download at your convenience.
We can do all this for less than you would probably pay when considering the cost of air travel and salaries for crew, lodging, equipment rental, and other expenses.
